2 Faces of Life Foundation

A city explorer observed the stark contrast in living conditions within the city center, where extreme poverty and opulent lifestyles were separated by clusters of apartments.

Moved by this disparity, they took the initiative and decided to make a positive impact on the lives of the underprivileged children in the impoverished community. This led to the establishment of "2 Faces of Life" during the COVID-19 season.

Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to offering free English education to more than 20 young students, all aged six years and above.

Monday to Friday

  • Morning Class: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
  • Afternoon Class: 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM
2 Faces of Life Foundation's commitment to providing free education for underprivileged children is a beacon of hope in the realm of education. By addressing the educational divide and empowering children with linguistic skills, the foundation is sowing the seeds of change for a more inclusive and equitable future.

Currently, we have offered daily English classes to more than 30 children already. Our next step will aim at providing vocational training to more needy and disadvantaged adults that will prepare and set them on a career path in the hospitality industry.

PSE - Pour un Sourire d’Enfant

La Rose Foundation was established with the goal of improving the lives of less fortunate individuals in our surrounding community through various means. Through the direct donation of generous guests and other fundraising endeavors we aim to provide assistance to needy individuals, families and organizations.

La Rose Suites feels strongly about corporate social responsibility. For this reason, we employ previously impoverished children who have graduated from Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) — “For a Child’s Smile.” They previously lived on garbage dumps and picked junk to sell for a living and to support their families. We are a part of the PSE team — an international non-governmental organization established in Cambodia in 1995 — that has a commitment to lifting children out of misery and giving them a chance to obtain the best available jobs. This organization rescues children from the dumps, helps them acquire skills and a job to ensure their own ultimate survival, for themselves and their family.

We actively promote a child safe policy. Children worldwide, especially street children, are at a high risk of being abused and we want to prevent them from being placed in abusive situations by educating our guests and supporting these local child safe organizations.

We encourage our guests, if they are so inclined, to help make a difference in the local community. Plenty of short-term volunteer opportunities offer a more enriching holiday experience such as teaching English at a local school, digging wells, painting houses or building toilets. We can put you in touch with the right people to make this happen.

HYDROPONIC

In February 2019, The Foundation has started up another new corporation with a local organization known as Coalition of Cambodian Farmer Community (CCFC) who has worked closely with farmers across the country to initiate the project of the Hydroponic Farming to support a sustainable farming and improving livelihood for the community people.

The project base is located in Kandal province in the southern of Phnom Penh city around 28km from downtown with an aim of bringing up a new method of farming to the farmers for learning and sharing within the community as a whole. Due to the market demand of the organic product, Hydroponic has offered the very high quality of chemical-free products to the farmers to boot up their income as well as promote the eco-friendly environment in the local community.

"We always shake to any opportunity to cooperate and partner with a local organization, whose shares a similar vision on improving the living standard of the community people, promoting child safe policy and urging our guests, staff and all partners to be part of social contribution for better community and economic growth."
